What makes Baby Booster™ Ríos los Amerícas Special Edition so special?

Want to feed your fry like they're wild? This is where it begins.

We know some fry can be notoriously picky — especially wild-caught or delicate species. Baby Booster: Rios Los Americas is a naturalistic fry powder designed for South American species like Apistogramma, Hyphessobrycon, Corydoras, and Loricariids, mimicking flood-season foraging with red papaya enzymes, leaf tannins, and insect-protein cues to trigger instinctive feeding responses when nothing else works.

- Chestnut Leaf (castanea sativa): Mild tannins, gut motility support, and biofilm mimicry

- Bee Pollen and Cassia Cinnamon: Prebiotic, anti-oxidant and immunological support. Mimics seasonal bloom signals and floodplain botanical input.

- Spirulina and Chlorella: Balanced Plant Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals, Colour support. Emulates algal growth during seasonal inundation to promote natural grazing behaviours and sustained feeding engagement.

- Whole Black Soldier Fly Larvae and Cricket Meal: Packed with protein and essential fatty acids, this instinct-triggering insect content mimics detritus and natural prey cues.

- Freeze-dried Red Papaya: Contains natural enzymes (papain) and carotenoids. Mimics springtime fruitfall, triggering feeding responses and aiding with digestion.

- Calcium Bentonite: Supports osmoregulation, buffers pH, and binds toxins and excess nutrients. Helps stabilize water chemistry in high-nutrient conditions typical of active feeding zones.

This meticulously crafted formula dissolves effortlessly, creating a fine suspension that ensures even the tiniest fry can feed with ease. Whether you’re nurturing tetra fry, cichlid hatchlings, or delicate catfish, Baby Booster Ríos los Amerícas edition has been designed with your most precious fry in mind.

FAQ

Is this better than the original Baby Booster?

Not better — just more specialized. Ríos los Amerícas is tailored for fish from South America’s rivers, especially sensitive and picky eaters.

Can I mix Ríos los Amerícas with the original Baby Booster™?

Absolutely! Many breeders alternate them to give variety in sensory cues and dietary input.

Is Ríos los Amerícas safe for shrimp or snails?

Yes. The formula is plant-based, naturally enriched, and suitable for most small aquatic inverts.

*Note: Ríos los Amerícas isn't formulated specifically for invertebrates, so may not match their dietary requirements.

My fry aren’t eating — what should I do?

Don’t panic. Reduce flow, dim the lighting, and target-feed with a small amount. Ríos los Amerícas is designed to linger in the water column and stimulate foraging — but some fry need a nudge. Watch for mouth movements, hovering behaviour, or exploratory pecking. If they’re ignoring all food, check your water parameters and ensure they’re not stressed from shipping or tankmates.
